A viral video of a Punjab Police employee has created a stir in the department. According to the information, the video of the police personnel consuming drugs has gone viral on social media. This video is said to be from Hoshiarpur. As soon as the video surfaced, the local police started the investigation and the concerned constable has been put on line duty with immediate effect.
According to sources, this policeman has also been the gunman of a Hindu leader. Hoshiarpur Police has put the concerned employee on line duty considering the seriousness of the matter. According to the information, this employee was posted on the security duty of a political leader. A shocking revelation has also been made that this video has been made viral on social media by the cousin of the same constable. It is alleged that he was blackmailing him for money.
Although the police department says that this video is old, but at a time when an ‘anti-drug campaign’ is being run in the state, seeing a policeman in uniform consuming drugs in this manner raises serious questions on the credibility of the department. In the viral video, a person can be seen sitting on the bed in police uniform. He places some substance on aluminum foil and lights a lighter underneath it and then blows out the smoke from his mouth with the help of a rolled paper. This method is usually used for consuming ‘chitta’ (heroin). The person making the video is standing near him and recording all this. In the video, the accused uses the foil paper twice and after that he is also seen smoking a beedi. The video has been going viral on social media since morning and people are giving different reactions to it. Many people are raising questions on the working style and discipline of the police. While on one hand the Punjab Police is running a strict campaign against drugs, on the other hand, the emergence of such a video of a uniformed person is a matter of serious concern. Now we have to see what comes out in the police investigation and whether any criminal action will be taken against the accused.
