major decisions takenA cabinet meeting was held in Chandigarh today under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in which many important decisions were taken. The cabinet has taken a major decision regarding government recruitments in Group-D. Now the maximum age limit for recruitment in Group-D has been increased from 35 years to 37 years.
This decision will benefit thousands of youth who were deprived of recruitment till now due to age limit and were waiting for a government job. The Seed Act 1965 has also been amended in the meeting. Cabinet Minister Harmeet Singh Khuddian said that now strict punishment will be given to those marketing wrong/fake seeds. In such cases, provision of punishment of 2 to 10 years has been made. Along with this, a decision has also been taken to increase the contract of pharmacists in the Animal Husbandry Department. All these decisions are being considered in the interest of the youth, farmers and animal breeders of the state.
