Anil Vij’s big action, 3 inspectors suspended Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has taken a tough stand and taken major action regarding the work-slip scam in Haryana Labor Department. After a three-month long investigation, irregularities were revealed in six districts including Hisar. On this basis, Vij issued orders to suspend three labor inspectors. Labor Commissioner Dr. Maniram Sharma issued suspension orders with immediate effect. The investigation revealed that the work of verification of workers was done fraudulently without visiting the spot. In this, collusion of Labor Department inspectors and Development and Panchayat Department officials was found.

These inspectors issued a large number of fake work-certificates between August 2023 and March 2025.

Dhanraj: 35,128The role of some officials of the Development and Panchayat Department has also been found suspicious in the investigation. A letter has been sent to the Commissioner and Secretary of the Department for action against the guilty officials.
Instructions to DC: A 3-member investigation committee will be formed
Minister Anil Vij said that due to shortage of staff in the Labor Department, Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of all the districts have been instructed to form a three-member committee to investigate the work-slip. It will include an officer of the Labor Department along with two independent gazetted members. This committee will go to every village and city of the state and do physical verification and will conduct an impartial investigation of the process of work-slip approval. All committees will have to submit their report within three months.
