A new twist has emerged in the case of the JCB accident that took place on the banks of the Ravi river in Gajju Jagir village of Taragarh police station, a border area of Pathankot district of Punjab. Last night, during illegal mining of sand, the JCB machine overturned in a deep pit of the river, in which the operator running the machine went missing.
The family members suspected the accident and expressed the possibility of murder. The operator has been identified as 30-year-old Mandeep Singh, a resident of village Jagochak Tada, Bahrampur police station, Gurdaspur district. The family members said that Mandeep had gone to operate the JCB that night as usual, but the accident happened late at night and the machine overturned in the river. The family was continuously demanding to search for the son’s body and had warned of a conflict. Case registered against three people after the body was found
After the body of Mandeep Singh was recovered today, the police have registered a case against three people in this case. In a statement given to the police, the deceased’s uncle Bava Singh said that the accident may not be just an accident but a conspiracy. SP Investigation Manoj Thakur told the media that the police have registered a case against village Jagir Singh, his son Manjinder Singh and Munshi Mukesh Kumar.
Illegal mining was going on even in the rainy season
It is worth noting that the administration has completely banned mining during the rainy season, but despite this, illegal mining was being done by village Jagir Singh. Due to this, this accident happened and Mandeep Singh lost his life. Police said that a special team has been formed to investigate this case. Strict legal action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. Apart from this, a case has been registered against some unknown people for illegal mining. All those against whom the case has been registered are still absconding. The police is continuously conducting raids to arrest them.
