Railway department in action, do not make this mistake while traveling in train, otherwise…

Date:

The ticket checking staff of the division has collected revenue of Rs 2.69 crore in the month of July by conducting intensive checking campaign in trains. During this, 43,092 passengers were caught traveling without ticket or irregularly. This action was inspired by a concrete effort towards providing convenient service and travel to all genuine rail passengers.

The promptness of the ticket checking staff and chief ticket inspectors not only increased the income of the division but this work is also showing effective monitoring of the railways. Along with this, surprise checking campaigns are also being run continuously in trains by railway officials, in which passengers are being repeatedly made aware that they should travel only with proper tickets. Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar clarified that ticket checking campaigns will continue in Firozpur division. He says that its main objective is to increase the sale of railway tickets and achieve the target of zero ticketless travel. This action of the railways is proving to be a milestone in ensuring transparency and discipline in the system. 414 passengers fined Rs 75,200 for littering
