police station has busted a prostitution racket running in a house in Janta Nagar. Police have arrested the house owner from the spot and have also apprehended two girls. Canal Colony police station’s SHO, Sub Inspector Harjivan Singh told that they had received secret information that prostitution racket was running in a house in Janta Nagar.
On the basis of the information, police formed a team and raided the said house. When police raided the house, two girls and the house owner Darshan Kumar were present there. During police interrogation, the girls told that the accused Darshan used to make them do this wrong deed by taking advantage of their helplessness. They told that he used to push them into this racket by threatening and luring them. Police has rescued both the girls from the clutches of the accused.
SHO Harjivan Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused Darshan and he has been arrested and further action is being taken. He also said that the police is investigating the involvement of more people in this case. The police has made it clear that such illegal businesses will not be allowed to run in Bathinda.
