Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan on Monday formally inaugurated the renovation of the Research Center and Library in Vidhan Bhawan. This Vidhan Sabha Research Center will provide a favorable environment and resources for study and research for MLAs, researchers and students. High-level reference material, digital database and well-organized compilation of parliamentary and legislative documents will be made available in the center.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that research will be done on legislative work here and it will also prove to be an effective initiative to strengthen the digital platform of Parliament and various state legislatures established under the ‘One Nation-One Legislation’ project. Through this research center, useful material will be available for the MLAs and the officers and employees of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat associated with legislative work. Through this, analysis of legislative work and documents related to traditions will be provided with authenticity. Kalyan expressed confidence that this center will inspire MLAs and employees to study, so that they will play an effective role in policy making for the state.
Along with this, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker also inaugurated the renovation of the Vidhan Sabha Library. Now this library has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. On this occasion, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that knowledge is the foundation of a strong democracy. Times are changing rapidly and today knowledge and technical skills are the biggest strength. Legislative work is also not untouched by this. He said that it is a matter of good fortune for Haryana that a large number of MLAs of the 15th Vidhan Sabha are studious. This research wing and library will not only help the MLAs in better preparation, but will also give a new direction to the quality of policy making. Senior officials of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat were present in the program.
