In Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, the police has achieved great success in arresting 4 drug smugglers from Punjab. It is being told that Kangra Police has arrested four accused including a woman while recovering 25.19 grams of heroin from a car during the blockade. All the accused are said to be from Punjab.
According to the information, the Gaggal police station team was conducting a regular blockade campaign. During this, the suspicious car was stopped and searched, from which 25.19 grams of heroin was recovered. All the four people in the car were found to be residents of Batala in Punjab. One of the arrested accused is also a woman, who is already engaged. According to the police, preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were planning to bring drugs from Punjab to Himachal and sell them here. The police immediately took all the accused into custody and started interrogation. At present, a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. The investigation also revealed that these people may be connected to an old network of drug smuggling. The police is investigating their mobile phones and call details so that other members of this gang can be reached.
