Similarly, State Bank of India has Rs 1.42 crore in savings accounts. After this, Punjab National Bank has 1.31 crore savings accounts. Out of these, 59 lakh bank accounts have not seen any transaction for 2 years and Rs 3323.85 crore is deposited in such bank accounts. According to bank officials, there is no transaction from the accounts of such account holders who go abroad or whose children go abroad after opening the account. Apart from retired employees, this also happens in cases of death.
