According to the new order, now the attendance of an employee will be valid only when his attendance is recorded in the biometric system. If this does not happen, his salary will be deducted.
The administration has asked for a list of all the employees, so that it can be ascertained how many people are connected to biometric and how many are still out of it. Soon all the employees will be linked to this system. It has been clearly stated in the order that it will be necessary to send the biometric report on time every month, so that the salary bill can be prepared on time.
Let us tell you that this rule can become difficult especially for those employees who come late to duty in the morning or leave the office before time in the evening. The biometric system will keep a complete record of their entry and exit. Earlier the employees used to get full salary, but now the salary of those who are negligent in work will be deducted. This rule will also be applicable to the employees of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh. Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar has clarified that those whose attendance is not recorded on the biometric machine will not be given salary. He says that this step has been taken to stop fake attendance and bring transparency in the government system.
