In fact, on Monday, September 1, the 531st Prakash Parv of Baba Shri Chand Ji Maharaj, the eldest son of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, will be celebrated. On this occasion, the Punjab government has announced a reserve holiday across the state.
According to the government order, the said holiday will not be gazetted but will be reserved. That is, on this day government offices, schools and colleges will remain open like normal days. However, where necessary or permission is given by the management, employees will be able to take advantage of this reserve holiday.
Let us tell you that a total of 28 holidays are included in this list and government employees can take any 2 of these holidays. At the same time, there has also been a demand to declare a local holiday on the occasion of the 531st Prakash Parv of Baba Shri Chand Ji Maharaj in district Gurdaspur, but till now no statement has come from the administration in this regard.
