There is a big alert for those applying for arms license or getting it renewed. Actually, the police is keeping a close watch on those who apply for or get arms license renewed by submitting fake dope test reports. Regarding this matter, on Thursday also, the police have registered cases against 3 people including 2 real brothers. Till now the police has registered cases against more than a dozen people and taken action against them.
On the complaint of ACP Licensing Rajesh Sharma, a case has been registered against 3 people in Police Station Division Number-5 on the charges of misleading the police department by giving wrong information, committing fraud by making wrong documents, preparing fake documents and using them in place of real documents, making fake seals and using them, committing fraud. The police have registered separate cases against these accused. Police have taken action against Sachdev Singh Dhaliwal son of Lal Singh alias Satwinder Singh, resident of Santokh Nagar, Sanjeev Malik son of Ramji Das, resident of New Shivpuri Sekhewal Road and his brother Munish Malik.
ACP Licensing said that the said accused Sachdev Singh had submitted a file for making his license in May 2025 and the accused’s license was made but during cross checking of documents by the police department, it was found that the dope test report was fake by the said accused, on which a case has been registered against the accused and a letter has been sent to the department to cancel his license. Accused Sanjeev Malik had applied to register another weapon on his arms license and presented the dope test report along with the file to the department, but during investigation the report turned out to be fake.
The third accused Munish Malik also applied for arms license and he too had submitted a fake dope test report. Cases have been registered against the accused and further action has been initiated against them and the accused will be arrested soon. Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that the said action is being taken in connection with the ongoing campaign against drugs. The police had come to know that some people submit fake dope test reports while applying for arms license or for renewal of license, due to which cross checking of files is being done by the department. For this, a letter is being sent to the officials of the Civil Hospital. The record of some dope test reports was also not found present in the Civil Hospital. During the investigation, it was found that fake reports have been prepared by these people for which fake seals, signatures and other fake methods have been adopted.
Sources say that a gang is active behind this which is preparing fake certificates of drug addicts by taking huge amount of money. These people have also been identified by the police against whom action is being taken.
