On the other hand, the flood situation in the state has completely worsened. The death toll due to floods in Majha and Doaba has increased to 36. 7 people died due to heavy rains in Hoshiarpur, of which 4 people died due to the roof of the house collapsing, while 3 people drowned in the flood waters caused by continuous rain. On this tragedy, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced immediate financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the affected families.
