Fazilka Police has achieved a major success by arresting 2 accused with illegal weapons. In this regard, DGP Gaurav Yadav has shared information. According to the information, on the basis of confidential information, the police have arrested 2 accused with 5 pistols and 9 magazines.
The accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gauri resident of village Tahliwala Bodla and Surinder Singh resident of Dhani Kahana Ram. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the recovered weapons were obtained from Pakistan through a foreign organization for use by criminal gangs in Punjab.
The said accused were trying to deliver these weapons to the ground operators of criminal gangs. At present, an FIR has been registered in this regard at Police Station Sadar Fazilka and investigation is going on to trace the entire nexus including the forward and backward links of this network.
