A big accident came to light in Ludhiana late on Monday night, when a huge fire suddenly broke out in the car accessories shops located on Dugri Road. After the incident, there was chaos in the entire area and people started running here and there to save their lives. According to the information, the fire broke out on Dugri Road near Atam Nagar Chowki. The fire engulfed many nearby shops in no time. Expensive car accessories and other goods kept in the shops turned into smoke and flames in a moment. It is estimated that goods worth lakhs of rupees have been burnt to ashes.
In this incident, the shop of Punjab BJP leader Jeevan Gupta also got completely engulfed in fire. This has also created an atmosphere of discussion in the political circles of the area. Jeevan Gupta himself reached the spot and took stock of the damage. He has demanded a detailed investigation of this incident from the administration and relief to the affected shopkeepers. As soon as the information about the fire was received, the local people tried to extinguish the fire on their own, but the flames were so intense that the situation went out of control. After this, the fire brigade was immediately informed. Many fire tenders reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire.
At present, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. Officials say that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit or a gas cylinder blast, but this can be confirmed only after investigation. The police and fire brigade have cordoned off the entire area and started investigation.
