Date:

Due to the recent floods in Punjab, the state government is continuously engaged in relief and rescue operations, as well as health services. In this regard, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared a post on the social media platform (X) detailing the work done so far by the state’s health department, presenting statistics.

CM Mann stated that special health camps have been set up by the Punjab government in flood-affected areas. He assured that people’s health will be fully taken care of, as the entire Punjab is his family, and he is committed to the health of his family. CM Mann also informed that to maintain transparency and keep people informed of the situation, these health-related data will be made public every day at 6 p.m.

Data Released:

CM Mann shared the data post and stated that these camps have so far covered 2,101 villages, where millions of people have been affected by the floods. A total of 1,423,95 patients have been examined in these camps. According to the latest data from the Health Department, 19,187 patients were found to be suffering from fever, while 4,544 were suffering from diarrhea and dysentery. Additionally, 22,118 people were found to be suffering from skin diseases and 10,304 from eye infections. Officials clarified that all these patients were treated on the spot so that they did not face any inconvenience. It is noteworthy that due to flooding and filth in many areas, the risk of spreading infectious diseases has increased. In such a situation, this health campaign being run by the Punjab government is providing great relief to the people. Teams from the local administration and the Health Department are continuously camping in the affected areas and providing door-to-door testing and treatment.
