The case of Richie KP, son of former MP Mohinder KP, who died in a road accident in Model Town, Jalandhar, on Saturday night, has taken a new turn. Police are taking action against the drivers of the Creta and Vitara cars. Meanwhile, the family of the Vitara driver has now appeared before the media and raised serious questions about the police investigation.
Sudha Kapoor, mother of the Vitara driver, stated that the accident occurred at Mata Rani Chowk. The Creta first hit a Fortuner, after which the Fortuner swerved and collided with their Vitara car. Her son, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law, who were in the car, suffered serious injuries and fell unconscious. They were all rescued by onlookers and taken to the hospital. All the injured are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital, and they are also victims of the accident, so the police should conduct a proper investigation.
Sudha Kapoor stated that the police initially filed a case against the Creta driver, but later filed a new FIR blaming her Vitara car. She demanded an impartial investigation into the matter.
Vikrant Kapoor stated that the Fortuner’s collision caused her car to lose control.
Vikrant Kapoor, the Vitara driver’s brother, stated that his car was also severely damaged in the accident, and all family members are hospitalized. He stated that CCTV footage clearly shows that the Fortuner’s collision caused their car to lose control and head toward the showroom. He alleged bias in the entire case and appealed to the Police Commissioner for an impartial investigation. He stated that Richie K.P.’s death is extremely tragic, but his brother’s condition remains critical. The family has appealed to the administration for justice.
CCTV The footage should be properly investigated.
Sudha Kapoor said that she, too, is deeply saddened by the death of Richie K.P. He was like one of our children, and what happened to him was horrific. However, the police are filing a false case against her. She appealed to senior police officials to investigate not just the single CCTV camera installed at the scene, but also all the other cameras, so that the truth can be revealed.
