The District Education Officer has been ordered to have drinking water samples tested from all government schools in the district. ADC Sonam Chaudhary chaired a meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission. The ADC discussed the progress of ongoing work under the Swachh Bharat Mission and Jal Jeevan Mission. Furthermore, the meeting also ordered the District Education Officer to have drinking water samples tested from all government schools in the district.
In addition, in coordination with various departments regarding the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign being run by the Central and Punjab governments, and in accordance with the Central government’s directives, instructions were given to clean up the CTCS. He also reviewed the Solid Waste Management Project and directed officials to complete the work expeditiously. He emphasized the importance of rejuvenating village ponds under the Thapar model and instructed officials to upgrade the village ponds to the Thapar model.
