Famous actress Neeru Bajwa, through the Hambhala Foundation Punjab, has announced a monthly salary/service gift of ₹5,000 each for the next six months to the Granthi Singhs serving in the Gurughars in the border villages near Hussainiwala. Santosh Subhash Thitte, partner of Neeru Bajwa Entertainment, who arrived from Mumbai to attend the Mudh Waseba Camp being run by the Hambhala Foundation Punjab in Hazara Singh Wala village, shared that the floods have damaged crops and homes, and the condition of the Granthi Singhs at the Gurughars has also deteriorated, leaving them in a precarious financial situation.
Dr. Surjit Singh Sidhu, Gama Sidhu, and Jagdeep Vading of the Hambhala Foundation Punjab informed that Neeru Bajwa had previously announced, through the Hambhala Foundation, that she would pay the entire board examination fees of children studying in schools in these border villages.
