Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora has expressed deep concern for the flood-affected people. He personally contributed ₹50 lakh to the “Rangla Punjab” relief fund and appealed to the industry and NRIs to contribute as well.
Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora stated that the Punjab government has allocated a budget of ₹14,000 crore to compensate for the losses incurred during the floods. He appealed to NRIs and businesspeople to contribute as much as possible to the “Rangla Punjab” relief fund. The Cabinet Minister stated that today, 13 businessmen from Ludhiana personally presented a significant donation to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He appealed to other businesspeople to also help the flood-affected people.
He stated that he has contributed ₹50 lakh from a charitable trust established in the name of his parents. Similarly, Monte Carlo Group, Naharle, Kamal Oswal, Happy Forging, and Seagull India have donated crores of rupees to the “Rangla Punjab” relief fund. Other businesses have also contributed to the flood-affected relief fund. The Cabinet Minister stated that we must rebuild Punjab to its former glory, and for this, the government needs the public’s support. He once again appealed to industrialists and NRIs to come forward to help flood victims.
