Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said on Tuesday that all relief camps have been closed as the flood situation in the state has stabilized. He said that all affected people living in these camps have now returned to their homes.
The supply of essential relief materials to affected families will continue uninterrupted. The Revenue Minister stated that during the peak of the floods, a total of 219 relief camps were opened across Punjab, where 8,270 affected people took shelter from time to time.
As the situation improved, the number of camps gradually decreased. Now, not a single camp is active, and all affected families have returned to their villages and homes.
