A shocking case has come to light at the city’s women’s police station, where a 19-year-old student pleaded to be freed from his 31-year-old teacher wife. The young man alleges that the teacher married him due to his family’s financial situation, but the real motive was solely financial gain.
The case reached court, and within a mere 10 days, the two were officially separated. This case became another example of the “gold digger” trend, where relationships are founded on money, not love.
How did the relationship begin?
The young man hired a private math tutor, who later became a part of his life. Initially, the woman’s behavior was very affectionate, leading the young man to believe she was in love. When the woman proposed marriage, the student agreed. The two got married in court.
The family expressed displeasure.
The young man’s family was opposed to the relationship. They counseled their son and urged him to distance himself from the woman. When the young man also tried to distance himself, the woman filed a complaint at the women’s police station. The investigation revealed that the teacher had already been married twice. A major revelation in court.
During the hearing, the woman asked the court, “Where will I go?” However, the court rejected this argument and granted a divorce. It also emerged that the woman was aware of the young man’s age and that she was not yet of legal marriageable age, yet she entered into this relationship out of greed.
Counselors’ Concerns Over the ‘Gold Digger’ Trend
According to women’s counseling expert Praveen Abrol, the first question to be considered in such cases is, “Where is the money?” In recent years, numerous cases have surfaced where money has been stolen under the guise of love.
