Additional District Magistrate Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi has imposed several strict restrictions in the district under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023. No one will graze animals on the streets or leave them exposed.
Weapons are prohibited in wedding venues, palaces, schools, colleges, gurudwaras, and temples. All cyber cafe owners will be required to verify their identity, and any suspicious person must be immediately reported to the police. Driving vehicles without lights or reflectors is prohibited. Informing the police station before hiring a new tenant, obtaining permission before digging a well or bore, and cutting down green mango trees are also prohibited.
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to pass through the city from 7 am to 10 pm, and movement in the border area will be restricted from 8 pm to 5 am. All these orders will remain in effect until November 20, 2025.
