In view of the increased rush on trains during the festive season of Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Ferozepur Division has announced the operation of special unreserved trains for the convenience of passengers. The Railway Department has also released train timetables in this regard. Officials are making security arrangements at Ludhiana and Dhandari Kalan railway stations in view of the festive season.

To review these security measures and arrangements for passenger accommodation during the rush, Ferozepur DRM Sanjeev Kumar inspected Ludhiana and Dhandari Kalan railway stations. According to reports, the DRM discussed with local officials the construction of a holding area for passengers, as well as other facilities, and instructed them to ensure that passengers do not face any inconvenience. He also instructed RPF and GRP officials regarding passenger safety. Train No. 04656-55 Ludhiana-Saharsa-Ludhiana Unreserved Festive Special train will depart from Ludhiana on October 22, 23, and 24, and return on October 23, 24, and 25. The train will depart from Ludhiana at 11:30 am and return from Saharsa at 11:50 pm. In both directions, the train will stop at Dhandari Kalan, Sahnewal, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Barauni, Chhapra, and Mansi.

Train No. 04658-57 Ludhiana-Katihar-Ludhiana Unreserved Special train will depart from Ludhiana on October 22 and return from Katihar on October 24. The train will depart from Ludhiana at 11:35 pm and reach Katihar at 10:00 am the next day after a 34-hour journey. It will return from Katihar at 1:00 pm and reach Ludhiana at 11:30 am the next day. In both directions, the train will stop at Dhandari Kalan, Sahnewal, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Chhapra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Mansi, Naugasia, and Katihar.

Train No. 04660-59 Ludhiana-Katihar-Ludhiana Express Special Unreserved Festival Train will depart from Ludhiana on October 23 at 4:50 pm and on the return journey, it will depart from Katihar at 6:30 am. The train will complete its journey in 36 hours. Train No. 04664-63 Ludhiana-Patna-Ludhiana Unreserved Special Festival Train will depart from Ludhiana on October 24 at 8:20 pm and reach Patna at 5:00 am. The return journey from Patna will begin at 1:00 am on October 26. During the 28-hour journey, the train will halt at Sahnewal, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Alam Nagar, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Buxar and Patna in both directions.
