Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor has launched its first adventure tourer, the TVS Apache RTX 300, in India. The bike has a starting price of ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Scram 440, KTM 250 Adventure, and Yezdi Adventure. The company claims that this bike offers the perfect balance of racing performance and comfortable long-distance riding.
Next-Generation RT-XD4 Engine Platform
The Apache RTX 300 is based on the new next-generation TVS RT-XD4 engine platform. This platform incorporates four dual technologies: dual overhead cam (DOHC) and downdraft ports, a split-chamber crankcase with dual oil pumps, a dual cooling jacket cylinder head, and a dual breather system.
Powerful Engine and Ride Modes: This bike is powered by a 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 36 PS at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. Riders are offered four ride modes (Urban, Rain, Rally, and Rally) to optimize performance based on road conditions or weather.
Advanced Suspension and Handling
The bike’s suspension setup is also a highlight. It features inverted cartridge forks at the front and mono-tube floating piston (MFP) suspension at the rear. Built on a lightweight steel trellis frame, this bike provides superior rigidity, balance, and dynamic performance. The low seat height, excellent power-to-weight ratio, and easy handling on all terrains make it an ideal adventure bike.
Rally-inspired engine
Its design is completely rally-inspired, featuring an I-shaped LED headlamp, LED indicators, a robust fuel tank, a transparent windscreen, and a beak-like front design. The bike is available in five attractive colors: Pearl White, Viper Green, Lightning Black, Metallic Blue, and Tarn Bronze. These colors feature a matte texture, glossy contrast, and signature Apache Red highlights, giving it a premium and sporty look.

The Apache RTX 300 is a leader in features. It features a full-color TFT display that offers features like call and SMS alerts, speed, GoPro control, and segment-first map mirroring. Additionally, advanced features like two-mode traction control, ABS modes (Rally, Urban, Rain), a tire pressure monitoring system, and cruise control make it one of the most feature-rich adventure bikes in its segment.
