A sensation spread. Last night, a man’s body was found in the Bathinda branch of the Shaina Canal. As soon as the news spread, panic gripped the town. The condition of the body suggested that the man had been murdered. According to reports, Shaina Police Station Chief Gurmander Singh arrived at the scene with a police team, began investigating the case, and with the help of family members, identified the deceased. The deceased was identified as Gurmel Singh (40 years old), son of Maghar Singh, a resident of Shaina.
The deceased was found face down in the Bathinda branch of the Shaina Canal, suffering from serious head injuries. Maghar Singh’s face was covered in blood. The deceased’s father, Gurmel Singh, stated that the deceased had two daughters and a son. The Shaina police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter after sending the body to the government hospital in Barnala.
Shaina Police Station Chief Gurmander Singh stated that the case is being thoroughly investigated. Forensic teams have arrived and CCTV footage is being examined, which has provided the police with significant evidence. He said the accused will be arrested soon and the family will receive complete justice.
