A tense incident unfolded outside Police Station 8 in the city today when an argument broke out between Nihang Sikhs and SHO Yadwinder Singh. According to reports, Nihang groups were protesting outside the station, angered by alleged police behavior. Sources say the protesting Nihang Sikhs objected to the police’s behavior. A heated argument broke out between the Nihang groups and SHO Yadwinder Singh outside the police station premises. During the argument, a member of the Nihang Sikhs said, “Your man behaved indecently towards us.”
SHO Yadwinder Singh responded sharply, saying, “We will remove your man’s turban too.” This escalated the situation. Bystanders and police personnel gathered at the scene, but the situation was brought under control with great difficulty.
