The Punjab Police have achieved a major breakthrough in solving the murder case of an NRI. The police have arrested two accused linked to the terrorist organization KLF. The police have made a significant disclosure by arresting the accused involved in the murder of Malkit Singh, an NRI based in Italy. The arrested accused have been identified as Bikramjit Singh alias Bikram and Karan.
This information was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. He stated that the Amritsar Rural Police arrested two accused, Bikramjit Singh alias Bikram and Karan, involved in the brutal murder of Malkit Singh, a resident of Italy, in Raja Sansi, Amritsar. The DGP said that the arrested accused, Bikramjit Singh, is associated with the terrorist organization Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) and has a criminal history. Cases have been registered against him under the Explosives Act, attempt to murder, and the Arms Act. He was also involved in the grenade attack on a religious place in Raja Sansi in 2018.
DGP Gaurav Yadav further stated that preliminary investigations have revealed that on the instructions of his foreign handlers, Bikramjit had procured illegal weapons from across the border to commit sensational crimes in Punjab. Four pistols and one revolver have been recovered, including one PX5 foreign-made .30 caliber pistol, one .30 caliber pistol, one .45 caliber foreign-made pistol, one .32 caliber pistol, one revolver, and live cartridges. He added that further investigations are underway to expose the entire nexus, including the forward and backward linkages of the network.
