New methods of online fraud are constantly emerging. Now, a dairy businessman has become a victim of cyber fraud while trying to buy buffaloes. The victim stated that he saw an advertisement video on YouTube claiming that the buffaloes gave up to 50 liters of milk per day.
Influenced by this advertisement, he contacted the number given in the video. The person on the other end initially demanded Rs. 50,000 as a booking amount, which the victim sent. Later, when he discussed the matter with a friend, the friend also expressed confidence and sent money. In total, both of them sent approximately three lakh rupees.
After some time, when the buffaloes were not delivered and the victim tried calling the person multiple times, the phone was switched off. It was then that he realized he had been a victim of online fraud. Following this, a complaint was filed at the cybercrime office.
