According to the Jalandhar Bullion Association, the price of 24-karat gold was recorded at ₹124,800 on Monday, compared to ₹123,500 earlier. 22-karat gold is priced at ₹116,060 today, while it was ₹114,860 on Friday. Silver (23k) is currently priced at ₹121,680.
Meanwhile, on the MCX, gold is trading at ₹1,22,673 per 10 grams, a jump of ₹1498. Silver prices have also increased by ₹3271, reaching ₹1,51,253 per kg. Experts say that the weakness of the US dollar in global markets and increasing international demand are contributing to the continued rise in gold prices. The inclination of investors towards safe-haven assets is also a major reason for this surge.
