As per the Punjab government’s orders, a “Pensioner Seva Mela” is being organized at the District Treasury Office, Mohali, from November 13th to November 15th. Pensioners will receive significant benefits starting today. This initiative aims to facilitate all pensioners in the district with the necessary e-KYC process so they can register on the newly launched “Pensioner Seva Portal.” Renuka Katiyal, District Treasury Officer, Mohali, stated that the government launched a one-stop digital platform for all pension-related services on November 3rd.
E-KYC is mandatory for pensioners to register on the portal. She appealed to all pensioners in the district to visit Room No. 257 on the first floor of the District Administrative Complex, Sector 76, Mohali, during the fair to register and experience simplified digital pension services. Initially, six key services will be provided to pensioners through this portal. These include submitting digital life certificates through the “Jeevan Pramaan” mobile app, applying for conversion of pension to family pension, applying for Leave Travel Concession (LTC), registering pension-related complaints, and updating or changing pensioners’ personal details.
Pensioners can register on the “Pensioner Seva Portal” by completing e-KYC through the Aadhaar authentication facility available on this portal. Once registered, they can avail these services from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phone, computer, or laptop using their login ID on the portal. The government has issued three dedicated helpline numbers at the Directorate level – 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386 – to address pensioners’ complaints. These will be operational on all working days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
