Police have arrested the owner of a mobile accessories shop in connection with the gunpoint robbery at Vijay Jeweller in broad daylight on October 30th in Bhargava Camp. It is alleged that the robbers handed over the pistol used in the crime to this shopkeeper before fleeing to Ajmer. Police arrested the accused and recovered the pistol from him. The arrested mobile accessories dealer has been identified as Manbir Singh, a resident of Ekta Nagar, Rama Mandi.
According to information, Manbir was a longtime acquaintance of Kushal. Some time ago, Kushal and other youths from Bhargava Camp had a fight with some youths from Dakoha. The Dakoha youths demanded 2.5 lakh rupees to settle the dispute, but Manbir intervened and settled the matter for 50,000 rupees. Manbir and Kushal subsequently became close friends.
Meanwhile, Manbir told the police that Kushal had given him a pistol, but he did not tell him about any of the incidents. The next day, he learned that the same pistol was used in the incident. However, Manbir still did not tell the police about the pistol. He stated that Kushal had obtained it from someone else, not him.
However, the police named Manbir and, after taking him on remand, sent him to jail after questioning. Manbir’s arrest is the sixth arrest in this case. Police have already arrested the three robbers, Kushal, Gagan, and Karan, as well as those who provided shelter to the three in Ajmer, and the young man who conducted the recce. All the gold looted from Vijay Jewellers has also been recovered from the accused.
