The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has launched another major facility for citizens. Through the country’s first transparent property registration system, “Easy Registry,” people can now register their land from the comfort of their homes. The primary objective of this initiative is to reduce the hassle of running around offices and curb corruption.
Under Easy Registry, citizens can register their deeds with just one click. They no longer need to visit tehsils or sub-registrar offices. Registration can be completed online within 48 hours by applying on the website www.easyregistry.punjab.gov.in.
The government has stated that this new system has ended the monopoly of sub-registrs. Now, any citizen can register at any sub-registrar office in their district or online from the comfort of their homes. A super-easy complaint system has also been implemented to curb corruption. If a citizen is asked for a bribe or faces any illegal demand, they can send a complaint directly to their District Magistrate via a WhatsApp link.
Key Points:
-Register your deed online at any sub-registry office.
-The entire process is completed within 48 hours.
-Get the deed instantly online.
-The Tehsildar will no longer be able to raise unnecessary objections.
-File an immediate WhatsApp complaint if there is any bribe or illegal demand.
The government has described this initiative as a major step towards a corruption-free Punjab. Its aim is to simplify the complex procedures of the tehsils and relieve the public of hassle.
