Former Team India fast bowler and actor Yograj Singh recently spoke openly about his loneliness and ongoing struggles in life. 62-year-old Yograj, Yuvraj Singh’s father, currently lives alone in his hometown. He said that he has nothing left to see or do in life, that his life is complete, and that he is ready to die.
Lives alone, even dependent on others for food
Yograj explained that no one lives with him at home. He sits alone in the evenings and sometimes has to rely on others for food. He said, “If I’m hungry, someone always gives me food. I don’t ask anyone for anything.” He explained that there used to be servants and cooks in the house, but over time, everyone left. Yograj said that he loves his mother, children, and grandchildren very much, but he doesn’t want to be a burden to anyone.
Yograj’s second marriage
Yograj’s personal life has been as well-known as his cricket career. He first married Shabnam Kaur, with whom he had two sons, Yuvraj and Zorawar. This marriage broke down due to constant conflicts. Yuvraj himself stated that he advised his parents to divorce because of the constant conflict at home. Yograj then married Neena Bundhel (also known as Satbir Kaur), with whom he had a son, Victor, and a daughter, Amarjot.
Yograj’s biggest shock
Yograj said that the biggest shock of his life came when Shabnam and Yuvraj left his home. He said, “I felt completely helpless and couldn’t understand why the people I loved so much had left me. The woman I had given my entire life to had also left me.” Yograj also shared that he had experienced many ups and downs in his life. He said, “Now I often wonder why I don’t have anyone with me in my old age. It was God’s play. There was a lot of anger and a sense of revenge. Then cricket came, but it stopped midway. I taught cricket to UV, he played and left. Then I remarried, had two children, and they also went to America. Some films came, time passed, and I came back to where I started. I ask myself why I did all this? Is there anyone with me today? It was meant to be, and it happened for the good.”
