The “Sheesh Diya Par Sirru Na Diya” journey, dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the 9th Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, which began at the Sheeshganj Gurdwara Sahib in Delhi, reached Amritsar today. The journey departed from Jalandhar for Amritsar this morning and arrived late in the evening. The journey will conclude on November 20th at Gurdwara Guru Ke Mahal in Amritsar, the birthplace of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
This unique and historic cycle journey is being organized by Manjit Singh GK, Senior Vice President of the Cycling Federation of India and former President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. The primary objective of this journey is to promote the legacy of martyrdom, compassion, and fearlessness of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Additionally, the current challenges facing Sikhs include raising awareness about religious identity, conversion, religious attire, drug abuse, and ethnic cleansing, and fostering social awareness about physical exercise, health care, and environmental protection.
G.K. stated that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji sacrificed his life not for himself, but for society and the Hindu community. G.K. stated that society needs a new direction at this time. He stated that along with religious conversion, drugs are a major problem that is ruining the country’s future. He stated that youth are the future of this country, and by luring them into drugs, the entire community is being weakened.
