A major decision has been announced in Jalandhar district on November 22nd due to events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal issued an order stating that a massive Nagar Kirtan will be held in the city on this day, with a large number of devotees expected to participate.
The order issued by the DC stated that keeping in mind the convenience of devotees, traffic management, and the safety of children, all government and private schools and colleges within the municipal limits will be declared a half-day holiday on November 22nd. Institutions have been instructed to send students home before 12 noon.
The administration has appealed to the public to maintain cooperation along the route of the Nagar Kirtan and to follow the instructions issued by the police for traffic management.
