Two parties clashed again at the Civil Hospital, a domestic dispute spilling into the emergency ward.
Tense situations erupted at the Civil Hospital on Saturday afternoon when two families, who had come for medical checkups, clashed. Both sides exchanged verbal abuse, leading to a physical altercation. CCTV footage of the incident has also emerged, showing both parties pushing and shoving each other, while bystanders try to intervene. Upon receiving the information, police from the Civil Hospital outpost arrived at the scene and questioned both parties.
According to Manish Nair, one of the parties has been experiencing a long-standing domestic dispute in his family. He alleges that his father stopped and assaulted his father-in-law, Balwinder Kumar, at Shivpuri Chowk. Both parties had gone to the hospital to seek medical treatment over this complaint, but tensions escalated there as well. Meanwhile, Anoop Sachdeva said he was at his shop on Kakowal Road when some men arrived and attacked him. According to her, the real reason for the dispute is that her father-in-law threatened to evict his son-in-law, Manish, which has increased tension between the two families. Manish’s father, Ramesh Nair, says that his son has been living with his in-laws for the past 20-25 days, leaving home and neglecting his family responsibilities. Several attempts were made to pacify him, but instead of improving, the situation has worsened.
