A major controversy has erupted over the proposed ‘Tales of Kama Sutra and Christmas Celebration Camp’ in Goa. A poster that went viral on social media, featuring the name of the Osho Ludhiana Meditation Society, obscene images, and several objectionable events, has sparked the entire issue. Upon the poster’s appearance, a Goa-based social activist filed a complaint with the Panaji police, prompting the police to take immediate action and temporarily postpone the event. The poster listed the camp fee as ₹24,995, along with the booking number and the name of the organizer, Swami Dhyan Sumit, who is identified as a member of the Osho Ludhiana Meditation Society.
Regarding this controversy, the Osho Ludhiana Foundation has clearly stated that it has no connection with any Kama Sutra-related event in Goa. They said that people are being misled by misusing its name.
The camp was scheduled to be held from December 25th to 28th. The complainant alleges religious sentiments have been hurt. The complainant alleges that the organizers have presented a sacred festival like Christmas with a theme like the Kama Sutra, which is religiously objectionable and hurts the sentiments of the society. He says that the poster portrays Goa as a “sex destination,” which tarnishes the image of the state. Police are currently investigating the matter—and trying to find out who is behind the objectionable poster.
