An air hostess, who was visiting a friend in DLF Phase 1, died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday. She had attended a party with friends the previous night where liquor was served. She was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning after experiencing breathing problems and died there. The police conducted a postmortem examination and handed over the body to the family.
A senior police officer said a viscera sample has been sent to FSL, Madhuban for testing. Further action will be taken only after the report is received.
The deceased, Simran Dadwal (25), is a native of Mohali, Punjab, and worked for Air India. Until two years ago, she worked for Vistara Airlines. She had come to her friend Nitika’s house in Gurugram for a party on Saturday night with several other friends. After a late-night drinking party, everyone fell asleep.
Around 5 am on Sunday, Simran experienced difficulty breathing. She woke her friends and informed them about her condition, and they rushed her to a nearby private hospital. However, she was declared dead upon arrival.
The police took the body into custody and are investigating the case. The senior police officer added, “The case is suspicious, and a probe is underway. The exact cause of death will be determined only after the viscera report. Simran’s family hasn’t filed any complaint, and further action will be taken based on facts emerging during the investigation.”
