‘Lesson learned?’ Delhi woman falls into open drain while filming reel
A video shared by Delhi Police shows an officer lowering a rope into the drain and carefully pulling her out to safety
In Delhi’s Najafgarh, a woman’s attempt to shoot a social media reel and instead landing into an open drain, has forced people to think about the growing risks associated with content creation and chasing viral content blindly.
The 22-year-old woman, who says her aim was to raise awareness about the poor condition of the area, was filming a video when the accident took place.
According to Bhavna, she lost her balance and fell straight into the gutter.
Fortunately, a Delhi Police patrol van was passing through the area at the time, when the officers reportedly heard her cries for help and sprung into action. A video later shared by the Delhi Police shows one officer lowering a rope into the drain and carefully pulling her out to safety.
Netizens react:
One comment read, “From trending dance to trending drain dive – Lesson learned? Hats off to the quick heroes.” Another user wrote in Hindi, “People have lost live because of reels, do not take life for granted.” A third said, “Seems she got what she wanted. Missions accomplished.”
