Punjab has once again witnessed a shift in weather conditions today. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, a spell of rain is expected to commence in the state starting today, likely continuing for the next few days. During this period, strong winds and thunderstorms are anticipated in several areas. Consequently, the department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ regarding these conditions. As a result, residents will find relief from the heat, and temperatures are expected to decline.
The Meteorological Department has predicted the likelihood of rain across the entire state of Punjab from March 28 to March 30. On March 28, a Yellow Alert has been issued for the districts of Barnala, Sangrur, Patiala, Bathinda, Mansa, Faridkot, Muktsar, Fazilka, Ferozepur, and Moga. Furthermore, the Yellow Alert will remain in effect across all of Punjab on March 29. Alongside this, rain is possible in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Sangrur, Pathankot, and Fatehgarh Sahib. While no specific alert has been issued for March 31, rain may still occur in several locations. This change in weather patterns is expected to lead to a drop in both day and night temperatures.
