A company of the BSF’s 181st Battalion recovered counterfeit currency worth ₹2.22 lakh during a patrol, following which an FIR has been registered at the Ramdas Police Station.
According to reports, a total of 445 notes in the denomination of ₹500 were recovered, which bear a striking resemblance to genuine currency notes. This recovery of counterfeit currency comes after a considerable hiatus, as consignments of heroin and weapons are typically the items sent across the border via drones. Consequently, security agencies have been put on high alert regarding this matter, and an investigation has been initiated.
