Hail Expected Along with Rain in Punjab! Meteorological Department Issues Major Forecast for These Districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a significant forecast regarding the weather in Punjab. According to this update, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds, and hailstorms in several parts of the state. This weather pattern is expected to affect all 22 districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning valid until April 7.
On April 3, thunderstorms, strong winds, and hailstorms are likely in the districts of Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahr, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, and Jalandhar. Similarly, similar weather conditions are expected to persist in several districts on April 4 as well. The state may experience hailstorms accompanied by squalls, and strong winds blowing at speeds of 40–50 kilometers per hour are anticipated. In light of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert.’
Regarding rainfall, light to moderate showers are expected in 14 districts. These include various areas within Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, and Rupnagar, as well as specific pockets of Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, and Mohali.
