The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased toll fees at toll plazas across the country, effective from April 1st. In accordance with this directive, the new rates have also been implemented at the Ladhowal Toll Plaza, situated on the National Highway.
Furthermore, the NHAI has completely discontinued cash payments at toll plazas. Vipin Rai, the Manager of Ladhowal Toll Plaza, stated that as per the new notification, toll fees will no longer be accepted in cash from any motorist.
He further explained that motorists crossing the toll plaza without a FASTag will now be charged double the standard fee. However, if a driver makes the payment via UPI, they will be charged the standard toll rate. If a motorist utilizes neither a FASTag nor UPI, they will be required to pay double the toll amount. These regulations have been implemented at all toll plazas nationwide, effective from the night of April 1st.
