After two years, once again Punjab’s tableau will be seen in the Republic Day parade in the capital Delhi. The tableau is dedicated to Sufi saint Baba Sheikh Farid and Punjabi culture. Every color of ancient Punjab will be seen in it.
The scene of farming with oxen will be seen in the tableau
Apart from the traditional folk musical instruments of Punjab, dhol, tubi, a pair of oxen will also be seen in the tableau prepared by the Public Relations Department. A senior official of the Public Relations Department said that Punjab has a big contribution in making the country self-sufficient in terms of food grains. In this way, the scene of farming with oxen has been shown because farming is very important for farmers and farming.
Baba Sheikh Farid has been specially shown in the tableau
The Union Ministry of Defense has approved the inclusion of the tableau of the state government in the parade, after which the Public Relations Department has prepared the tableau with full vigor. The tableau of Punjab will be completely different from other states. Baba Sheikh Farid is considered to be the first poet of Punjabi. In this way, Baba Sheikh Farid, music and culture of Punjab have been presented in the tableau.

Punjab state tableau was not in the parade of the year 2023 and 2024
In the year 2023 and 2024, the Union Ministry of Defense had excluded the tableau of Punjab from the Republic Day parade. Although many other states also did not get a place in the parade, Punjab had strongly objected to this.
The Punjab government had shown the prepared tableaux in the districts of Punjab. Three tableaux were made for the parade in 2024, which included the story of Punjab martyrs and sacrifices, the tableau of Nari Shakti Mai Bhago and the tableau related to the Amari culture of Punjab. Which was not approved.
This time the Union Defense Ministry has included tableaux of 15 states and union territories in the Republic Day parade. These include Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
