Chandigarh Police took a big action against illegal immigration companies and raided various areas of the city. In this action, the police have seized 60 passports, Rs 2.60 lakh in cash and many electronic devices. Police have registered a total of more than 10 FIRs in various police station areas of the city. Anu Thakur, owner of Milestone Immigration and Alka Thakur, owner of Greenland Overseas Consultancy were arrested in Police Station-3.
Three cases were registered in Police Station-17, in which action was taken against Raj Kumar, Sagar Singh and Gagandeep Singh.
Two released on bail
Hardeep, owner of Calgiri Overseas, was arrested in Police Station-19 and laptops and documents were seized. Rupinder and Mohammad Arif were arrested in Police Station-31 and released on bail. Cases were registered against Vikas Malhotra, Vikas Batra and Vinay Chaudhary in Police Station-34.
Fraud in the name of getting jobs and visas
In the biggest action taken in Maloya police station area, 60 passports, Rs 2.60 lakh and a CPU were seized from Satyam Immigration Services owners Rajveer Singh and Satyam Bhatnagar. All the accused companies were cheating people in the name of getting jobs and visas abroad without valid permission.
