Panchkula police presented Sapna’s husband Parvinder, who was arrested on charges of murdering Chandigarh Police’s female constable Sapna, in the district court. The court has sent the accused on two-day police remand. During the remand, the police will try to recover the things used in the murder from the accused.
The police will also try to find out if anyone else besides Parvinder was involved in the conspiracy to murder Sapna. Apart from this, the police will try to gather all the information about where Parvinder went after the murder. The police will also try to find out the real reason behind Sapna’s murder during the remand.
The accused was arrested after 6 days
However, Sapna’s family had alleged that Parvinder was a drug addict and he often quarreled with Sapna over this issue. Parvinder was arrested by the police from Ambala about 6 days after the murder. Sapna and Parvinder’s house is in Naya Gaon village of Mohali district of Punjab, near Chandigarh.
The body of the female constable was found in the car
According to the information, after killing Sapna at home, Parvinder left the house with Sapna’s body in the car and left the body in the car at Panchkula Mansa Devi Complex and absconded after locking the car. During the investigation, the CCTV footage that the police got from Naya village showed Parvinder going out in the car early in the morning on Monday, the day of the incident, and returning on foot after about an hour and a quarter. In the evening, Sapna’s body was found in the same car at Mansa Devi Complex in Panchkula.
The accused husband is a soldier in the Army
Sapna’s brother Gaurav had lodged a complaint against Parvinder with the Panchkula police. The accused Parvinder is posted as a soldier in the Army.
