CBSE has started the facility of providing digital marksheet to the students after the 10th and 12th board examinations. The board said that after the result is declared, students will be able to see their result from the Digi Locker app and can also get a digital marksheet by entering a special 6-digit code.
CBSE has said that this digital marksheet will be considered a genuine and valid document, which students will be able to use at the time of admission to 11th or first class of college.
Every school will get a different code
Sanjay Sardana, director of Manav Mangal School, Sector-21, Chandigarh, said that after the declaration of the exam results, the board will send different six-digit codes to all the schools through email. The code of every school will be different and only those students who study in that school will be able to get their digital marksheet with that code. The code of other schools will not work in any case.
To get the digital marksheet, students will first have to download the Digi Locker app on their mobile. After this, OTP (One Time Password) will come on entering the Aadhar card number and registered mobile number. Through this, Digi Locker will open. After seeing the exam results, students will be given the option to download the mark sheet, which will open only with the 6 digit code received from the school.
More than 60 thousand students will benefit
The number of students giving CBSE 10th and 12th examination in Tricity is more than 60 thousand. All of them will no longer need to go to school for digital marksheet, they will be able to get it from home through DigiLocker and can also take print out.
