Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again asserted its stronghold in Punjab’s political landscape. In the Ludhiana by-election, AAP registered an impressive victory, handing a significant defeat to both the BJP and Congress. This win has further cemented public trust in the party led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
AAP’s candidate Sanjeev Arora secured a massive win, receiving 35,179 votes. Bharat Bhushan Ashu from Congress stood second with 24,542 votes, while Jeevan Gupta from BJP was pushed to the third position, securing just 20,323 votes.
This by-election took place at a time when the opposition was constantly questioning the state government and attempting to create political instability in the region. However, the voters once again reposed their faith in the Aam Aadmi Party. Reacting to the win, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said, “This is a victory of the people of Punjab. It is a win for trust. The people of Ludhiana have shown they stand with honesty and the path of change.”
