According to the information, in the last 24 hours, the water level of the Beas river has increased from 36,000 cusecs to 74,600 cusecs, due to which there is an atmosphere of panic in the border areas of Punjab.

The alarm has rung especially for the villages adjoining the Beas river. The sudden increase in the water level has increased the concern of the administration and the local people. Due to the rising water level of the Beas river, the low-lying areas of Amritsar and Kapurthala have been flooded. In many places, the fields have been submerged in water, due to which there is a possibility of damage to the crops. The administration has issued an alert in the affected villages.
